Layne Thompson is a career servant leader, a distinguished professional with over three decades of experience in the operations, acquisition and management of military technology solutions.  He serves as Senior Vice President, leading Growth, as well as Innovation, Research and Development for  JMA Resources, Inc.

Layne’s distinguished career began with enlisted service in the U.S. Air Force and an a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy for more than a decade.  He followed military service with an exceptional career as a Navy civil servant, serving in roles ranging from Operations Director at the Navy’s Network Warfare Command, to Chief Strategist and Department Head at NAVSUP’s Business Systems Center (BSC), and as a DAWIA Level III Program Manager at NAVWAR’s PMW220.  Layne then left the civil service and achieved great success as Chief Operating Officer for a mid-sized defense consulting firm.

His servant leadership core value  then called Layne to an opportunity to serve locally - as a city manager for a mid-sized Borough in Pennsylvania.  Layne reflects on his experience in local municipal government as the most fulfilling opportunity of his career in service.

Layne’s creativity and adaptive understanding of client needs is outpaced only by his drive to deliver practical, valuable solutions at all levels of government.  He holds a bachelors degree in mathematics and master’s in National Security Studies.  Layne’s mantra is simple; you can never go wrong if you come to work each day with an open mind and a kind heart.
