Amy’s journey with JMA Resources began in 2019 as an Office Administrator, quickly advancing to Human Resources Administrator, where she honed her expertise in onboarding, record-keeping, and payroll management. In January 2023, Amy assumed the pivotal role of Director of Human Resources, overseeing the HR function with precision.
Her tenure at JMA Resources showcases her dedication to administration, from efficiently managing correspondence and calendars to tracking office supplies and preparing crucial documents. Amy’s track record of driving positive outcomes, commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and community service, make her a formidable force in both education and HR.
Before her corporate role, Amy devoted twenty years to education, earning the prestigious title of Teacher of the Year in 2009-2010. Her influence extended to curriculum development and student support, where she led in creating the Civics and Economics Honors Curriculum and chaired the Child Study Committee, spearheading interventions for students.
Amy’s educational journey includes a Master of Science in Education from Old Dominion University and an endorsement in Gifted Education from the University of Virginia. Her SHRM-CP certification reflects her dedication to excellence in Human Resources.
