Meet one of JMA’s own, Daniel Clark, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran (2013–2017), former Infantry Scout with the 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, and now a trusted Java Web Application Developer and Manager of Project Delivery for Subcontracts.
While serving in California, he honed his reconnaissance skills, led teams, maintained critical equipment, and even piloted small unmanned aerial systems (drones) to support missions. One standout moment for him that was a really rewarding challenge to overcome was during his sea-based deployment to the Middle East, he completed a Desert Warfare and Survival course in Africa with a French unit that involved ocean and mountain obstacle courses followed by combat exercises over many days and nights.
Since joining JMA in 2021, he’s brought that same discipline, adaptability, and leadership into every project. What drives him today? The people. A fully remote team that leads with empathy, respect, and a deep sense of connection.
His advice to other veterans: “Build as many relationships as you can and always look for value in experiences. Keeping relationships alive from the military will pay dividends as well as not being afraid to make new ones, separate from your time in service. Looking for value in every experience was a key lesson for me since there were many times in the Marines where I did not enjoy what I was doing. Now however, I’m thankful I took something from those times, and I can benefit from the same mentality in my new career.” His favorite lesson from the military? “Everyone puts their pants on the same way—one leg then the other.” A humbling reminder, no matter who’s in the room.
We’re proud to work alongside veterans who bring not only experience—but character—to everything they do. Thank you for your service, and for being part of the JMA team.
